Wes Welker has had the luxury of catching passes from both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in his NFL career.
So when asked to compare the two quarterbacks on Thursday, Welker said he couldn't, claiming they are both great in their own artistic ways.
"It's like comparing Picasso and Michelangelo," Welker said, via the Associated Press. "It's hard to compare the two."
Granted, Welker said he didn't know anything about either artist, the point is made. Both quarterbacks will go down as two of the game's greatest, with slight differences that set each other apart.
But when it comes to being a team leader, there are plenty of similarities. And it also just seems like Welker would rather not compare the two to avoid unintentionally dimishing one.
“There aren’t too many differences,” Welker said. “They are great quarterbacks. They do a great job of keeping guys accountable, and their leadership skills and everything else. They are two guys you want quarterbacking your team. It’s a toss-up between those two.”
