Ed Wesley is leaving TCU.
The Horned Frogs star running back is planning to leave the school for family reasons, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram‘s Randy Galloway in a feature on TCU head coach Gary Patterson. Patterson, however, did not address Wesley’s situation in the story.
Wesley led the Horned Frogs in rushing with 1,078 yards in 2010 and finished with 726 yards last fall. The only saving grace for TCU is that the team has good depth in the backfield, as two other backs finished with at least 700 yards on the ground last year — Waymon James (875 yards) and Matthew Tucker (702 yards). Both will be back this fall.
