From The Philadelphia Inquirer:
APBrian Westbrook
A headache kept Brian Westbrook from playing Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys. More ankle pain could keep the veteran running back from returning to practice tomorrow.
Coach Andy Reid revealed yesterday that Westbrook's surgically repaired right ankle was bothering him again, and that it was the reason he was held out of practice Friday.
"Brian had some work done on his ankle, so if he doesn't go on Wednesday, that would be the cause unless something crazy [happens] with his concussion," Reid said the day after his team's 20-16 loss to Dallas. "He had a little bit of swelling, so he had some work done."
Exactly what "work done" meant wasn't clear. Reid said Westbrook did not have arthroscopic surgery again and was not held out of the game because of the ankle pain.
"The reason he didn't play was strictly because of the headache," Reid said.
