Both Roddy White and Julio Jones were out of Wednesday's practice in preparation for the St. Louis Rams.

White, who has been battling an ankle injury for a while, was limited last week but played in the opener against the New Orleans Saints. He is expected to follow a similar path toward getting ready to play this week, according to Coach Mike Smith.

“We kept Roddy out and, again, he’s the guy that played for us (last) week and we anticipate that he’ll play this coming week,” Smith said via the team's website.

Jones sat out practice Wednesday with a knee injury.

On Tuesday, the Falcons auditioned some veteran wide receivers just in case - taking a look at Mohamed Massoquoi, Lavelle Hawkins and Courtney Roby.
