The trade rumors will swirl even louder than usual around Denver Broncos restricted free agent tight end Tony Scheffler now that he has signed his one-year tender. Plus, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis made an interesting comment today.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Lewis said during a press conference today that the tight end position could be addressed prior to the draft.
Per the report, three teams are believed to be interested in trading for Scheffler.
The Bengals have a pair of draft picks in the third and fourth rounds.
“I think some of it could be addressed prior to the draft but I do feel we are where we are and we don’t need to panic in any way,” Lewis said.
