Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the team is interested Aaron Wilson
INDIANAPOLIS -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh indicated that the team has been evaluating former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens.
However, an NFL source with knowledge of the situation told National Football Post that the Ravens wouldn't be pursuing Owens in free agency. It's believed that the Ravens rank other wide receivers higher on their list.
"I've always said I've got a lot of respect for T.O.," Harbaugh said today at the NFL scouting combine.. "He had a good year. We watched him on tape and he was very effective last year. We're interested in T.O. We're interested in all the guys that can make our team better."
Owens is 36 years old, and had an unproductive one-year stint with the Bills. He has a tendency to drop passes and has had a divisive relationship with several quarterbacks over the years.
The Ravens have had a stormy history with the controversial wide receiver.
They tried to acquire him in 2004 via a trade with the San Francisco 49ers for a second-round draft pick. However, the trade was ultimately nullified after Owens wouldn't report to Baltimore.
An NFL arbitrator was leaning toward ruling against the NFL while presiding over an NFLPA grievance when a settlement was reached that sent Owens to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Ravens second-round pick was returned to them.
Owens also was critical of Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome in his autobiography.
Meanwhile, Harbaugh related a story about how he, Jeff Fisher, Tom Coughlin and Jon Gruden were returning from a USO tour to Iraq when they ran into Owens in an airport Burger King.
"We didn't ask for his autograph, but we did say hi, and kind of rekindled the relationship," Harbaugh said. "I think he's a good guy and good player."

Owens probably dropped his McFlurry and then blamed it on the girl behind the counter.

He rekindled the fire, huh? Over some chicken nuggets and a McFlurry? Sometimes a black man's just gotta get trapped in the Executive Services McDonald's at the local airport...
