New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott was fined $5,000 by the league office.
His crime?
He knocked the helmet off of Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Adam Hayward during Sunday's win.
And he was penalized 15 yards for the infraction, which set up a field goal that ruined the Jets' shutout bid.
"I got the retard of the day award by helping us get a post-play penalty to give up the shutout," Scott said last Sunday.
