The Cincinnati Bengals signed rookie cornerback Mike Mickens to the practice squad, the team announced today.
A former University of Cincinnati player, Mickens was drafted in the seventh round by the Dallas Cowboys earlier this year.
He was cut on Sept. 6 and was signed to the practice squad.
Signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' active roster, he was cut on Nov. 25 after being inactive for three games.
The Bengals cut cornerback Antonio Smith, a second-year player from Ohio State. Smith had been signed to the practice squad on Nov. 24.
