The Buffalo Bills reportedly made a power move on Jon Gruden to be their new head coach, an overture that Gruden ultimately declined.

According to WIVB-TV, the Bills "went after him hard" as their top choice to replace fired coach Dick Jauron.

And that included a meeting with Gruden.

Ultimately, Gruden signed a contract extension with ESPN.

The station also reported that Jauron had been offered to continue as coach for the remainder of the season, but he declined.

Now, the Bills can continue their job search with Perry Fewell operating as their interim coach.
