The Denver Broncos are expected to promote linebackers coach Don Martindale to defensive coordinator as the replacement for Mike Nolan, not former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Dean Pees.
According to the Denver Post, Martindale is expected to be coach Josh McDaniels' choice.
Per the report, McDaniels also interviewed Patriots linebackers coach Matt Patricia. Patricia is a leading candidate for the Patriots' defensive coordinator spot.
Eric Studesville is the Broncos' new running backs coach, per the report.
