Denver gives Orton first-round tender, second-round tender to Scheffler. Aaron Wilson
The Denver Broncos assigned a first-round tender to Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall, per ESPN.
It's a development that opens up potential trade scenarios for teams in need of a big downfield target.
That includes the Baltimore Ravens.
If Marshall signs with someone, the Broncos would have seven days to match the offer or receive a first-round draft pick as compensation.
The Broncos could also field trade offers for Marshal. And that could entail something lower than a first-round pick or a package of picks.
Meanwhile, the Denver Post is reporting that the Broncos placed first-round tenders on quarterback Kyle Orton and offensive guard Chris Kuper and a second-round tender on tight end Tony Scheffler.
