McDaniels had run-ins with both players Aaron Wilson
INDIANAPOLIS -- Denver Broncos coach Josh McDaniels won't rule out having wide receiver Brandon Marshall and tight end Tony Scheffler back on the team next season.
That stance would seem to be contrary to the issues McDaniels had with the two skill players throughout the season.
Then again, it would be surprising if McDaniels escalated any problems or simmering feuds by saying they're not welcome.
"They played an important role to our team this year. I don't see why that has to change," McDaniels said today at the NFL scouting combine. "Certainly, there are some things that are going to go into this, but there's no question in my mind."
McDaniels had several run-ins with Marshall, but it's hard to overlook the wide receiver's talent and three consecutive 100-reception seasons.
McDaniels disclosed that he hasn't had a face-to-face conversation with Marshall, but has communicated with him via text messages.
"Our coaching staff is really excited about the direction we're going in," McDaniels said. "Hopefully we can deal with a few less distractions, but that's part of the game. Every team deals with it , that's what we had to last year."

So far Josh has shown that anything he says is the exact opposite of the truth. This is a spin move to try and get some value in a trade for those players, nothing else.
