The San Diego Chargers re-signed cornerback Dante Hughes and cut cornerback Simeon Castille.
Hughes was signed last week and then cut over the weekend as Castille was signed from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game in Kansas City
Hughes was a third-round draft choice of the Indianapolis Colts in 2007.
He spent two seasons in Indianapolis, appearing in 24 games as a reserve defensive back and special teams player. The Colts released Hughes at the conclusion of training camp this season.
The Chargers have also signed offensive tackle Joe Toledo to the practice squad and placed center Ryan McDonald on the practice squad injured list due to a back injury.
Toledo was picked by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft and has spent time with the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.
