The San Diego Chargers have ruled out center Nick Hardwick for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
Sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery following the season opener, Hardwick had a setback last Wednesday and hasn't been practicing since last week.
Meanwhile, linebackers Shawne Merriman and Shaun Phillips and tight end Antonio Gates returned to practice.
