The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed the settlement with running back Larry Johnson reached over the weekend.

Johnson is still suspended until Nov. 9, but will only be docked one game check for his controversial remarks regarding coach Todd Haley as well as his anti-gay slurs directed toward fans and reporters.

Johnson will forfeit roughly $300,000 in lost wages, but was due lose about $600,000 if not for the settlement in advance of a grievance hearing that was originally schedule for Tuesday and has now been vacated.

Here's the entire statement released by the team:

"The Kansas City Chiefs, in conjunction with the NFL Management Council, the NFL Players Association and RB Larry Johnson have settled all matters related to Johnson’s recent conduct. Johnson will remain suspended through the club’s game at Jacksonville on November 8th. He will not be permitted to participate in any team activities or be on team premises until Monday, November 9th. This matter is now closed, and the Chiefs will have no further comment."
