Justin Rogers' tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs didn't last long, according to a league source.
After being signed Tuesday, the veteran linebacker has been placed on waivers.
Rogers is a career special-teamer who previously played for the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots.
The Chiefs announced this morning that defensive lineman Kenny Smith had taken over the roster vacancy created when they traded defensive tackle Tank Tyler to the Carolina Panthers for a fifth-round draft pick.
