The Kansas City Chiefs announced two hires today, including one previously reported by National Football Post.

As expected, former Cleveland Browns negotiator Trip MacCracken has been officially named as the Chiefs' director of football administration.

And Mike Clark joins the Chiefs as their new strength and conditioning coach.

He spent the previous six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks where he was part of Mike Holmgren’s staff that helped guide the Seahawks to a Super Bowl XL appearance.

Clark served 14 seasons as the head strength and conditioning coach at Texas A&M before entering the NFL ranks. A 2003 inductee into the USA Strength and Conditioning Coaches Hall of Fame, he served as president of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association in 2000.

MacCracken arrives in Kansas City after spending 11 seasons with the Browns where his duties included contract negotiations, as well as other responsibilities in football operations.

During his tenure with the Browns, he served as legal counsel, director of football administration, salary cap coordinator and salary cap administrator.
