One day after trading defensive tackle Tank Tyler to the Carolina Panthers, the Kansas City Chiefs used the vacancy on the roster to re-sign linebacker Justin Rogers.
Rogers had been recently cut.
Rogers was drafted in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL draft by the New England Patriots after playing at SMU.
Cut by the Patriots, he played every game as a rookie with the Dallas Cowboys on special teams.
He was waived-injured by Dallas this year.
At SMU, he recorded 123 tackles, 28 for losses, 19 1/2 sacks, five forced fumbles and one blocked kick.
