The Kansas City Chiefs promoted wide receiver Quinten Lawrence to the active roster from the practice squad today, the team announced.
Lawrence was a sixth-round pick of the Chiefs earlier this year.
He played in Kansas City’s first two games in 2009, rushing one time for 16 yards and returning one kickoff for 17 yards. He has spent the last four weeks on the Chiefs' practice squad.
The Louisiana native played in 37 games at McNeese State, catching 99 passes for 1,905 yards (19.2 avg.) with 15 touchdowns and returning 22 kickoffs for 419 yards (18.9 avg.).
Lawrence also had a 70-yard punt return for a touchdown.
