Texas QB still recovering from shoulder injury Aaron Wilson
University of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy has changed his stance about throwing at the NFL scouting combine.
After mulling it over, he has decided not to throw at the combine.
According to ESPN, he has a note from his doctor, Dr. James Andrews, who advised him not to throw at the combine.
So, McCoy will join fellow quarterback prospects Sam Bradford, Jimmy Clausen and Tim Tebow as far as opting not to throw.
With so many top quarterbacks deciding to not throw in front of the 32 NFL teams assembled in Indianapolis, the quarterback drills aren't shaping up as too exciting at this point.
Per the report, McCoy plans to take part in other drills and will throw at his campus Pro Day on March 31.
McCoy injured his throwing arm when he pinched a nerve during the Longhorns' national championship game loss to the University of Alabama.
McCoy was unable to finish the game.
