Quarterback injured his shoulder in BCS title game Aaron Wilson
INDIANAPOLIS -- University of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy passed a medical test at the NFL scouting combine.
McCoy had a magnetic resonance imaging exam that revealed no further damage to the nerve in his right shoulder that he injured during the national championship game.
Following the injury to Alabama, McCoy didn't have surgery.
"The good thing is my shoulder is 100 percent fine," McCoy told NFL.com. "There's nothing wrong with it. We found nothing wrong with it. It's just a nerve injury, and it's just about 100 percent. It's just about ready to go."
McCoy was shorter than expected at 6-foot-1.
"One thing I can't change is my height," McCoy said, noting that no teams had brought up the issue. "That's all right. That's who I am. I won more games in college football than anybody else. So I expect to continue that as I get in the NFL.
"At the same time, you're measuring with guys who are really tall. You can't change that; this is what God gave me. But you can't measure the size of my heart and how hard I work and all the intangibles that come along with playing the position."
Per the report, McCoy is on a limited throwing regimen and won't throw here.
He's expected to take part in the Longhorns' campus Pro Day workout on March 31.

Wondering how this gets a "Wilson: Colt McCoy's MRI checks out fine" headline when all Wilson did is lift a quote from NFL.com. Nice reporting there, Aaron.
