The San Diego Chargers received relatively good news about cornerback Antonio Cromartie.

According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Cromartie's knee injury has been determined to be a slight bruise under the knee cap after having a magnetic resonance imaging exam.

Besides Cromartie's injury, the Chargers have replaced nickel back Antonio Cason with Steve Gregory.

“Just looking for productivity in a guy who might be able to better adapt at that position,” Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera said in reference to the change. "We want to see how it works out. This is something we have to give a shot and see how it goes. We thought this might be the opportunity.”

Just a week ago, Clinton Hart was cut and rookie Kevin Ellison was promoted to the starting lineup.
