Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable will cease to be the Oakland Raiders' coach today, according to a published report.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Raiders team owner Al Davis is set to sit down with Cable today "to discuss all the reasons he'll get fired."
Among the reasons cited by the report to fire Cable after a 5-11 season where the Raiders beat two playoff teams: benching JaMarcus Russell, the Randy Hanson investigation, the domestic violence allegations and a poor offense.
Per the report, there is still one remaining question involved with Cable.
WIll be he fired for cause or just fired the old-fashioned way?
Cable had expressed confidence that he would be retained.
