The clock is ticking on Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson.

He's due a $2 million roster bonus on March 19, according to Scout.com.

And that date is unlikely to coincide with Anderson remaining on the roster.

Over the past two seasons, Brown has 12 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.

The one-time Pro Bowl quarterback was beaten out by Brady Quinn last year.

And the Browns are expected to explore potential trades and the NFL draft to upgrade the position.

It all adds up to a pending departure for Anderson.

I don't blame Anderson for sucking. I blame Phil Savage for giving him a $14MM guaranteed contract in '08 when he could have signed him for the RFA min of $2.74MM/yr and received a 1 and 3 in compensation if he were to sign elsewhere.

Thank God we have a front office now with soem NFL experience!
