Wide receiver believes his release was related to his personal life Aaron Wilson
In the wake of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Chambers' abrupt release from the San Diego Chargers earlier this week, he alluded to personal issues that may have played a role in his departure from the AFC West franchise.
As it turned out, Chambers is dealing with a situation involving an extramarital affair and a pending divorce.
Chambers filed for a restraining order against a former girlfriend who sent text messages to his wife, according to court records reported on by the San Diego Union-Tribune.
“I guess it created a distraction upstairs," Chambers said Monday. "They know a little too much of my life, and they used it against me.”
Christina Chambers, Chambers' wife, told police that she was being harassed by Stacey Saunders.
No charges were filed, but a potential harassment case is being considered by authorities.
“Beginning in April, Ms. Saunders became aware that our affair, now broken off, was known to my wife,” Chambers wrote in a temporary restraining order. “Since then, she has launched an incessant attack verbally on me, and now my wife, her mother and sister.
"All calls, text messages and e-mails are abusive, vulgar and irrational. They have begun to mention intimate details of my life such as my son, home address, and family member locations.”
Neither side showed up for the hearing to consider the restraining order request.
One week later, Chris Chambers filed for divorce.

Looks like Chambers found one of these women who was running a special LIFETIME membership to the "Jungle Gym," with NO down payment, but attached a rider to that bargain containing a "Lifetime Of Grief" clause.
Athletes have to be careful to the point of clinical paranoia not to get in the sack with one of these Psycho-Whack-jobs patrolling the jock strap Isle of the local sporting goods store.
