Miami Dolphins running back Patrick Cobbs' season is over.
He tore his left anterior cruciate ligament during a 31-27 defeat against the New York Jets on Monday night.
“You guys know what I think of Pat Cobbs,” Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said. “This guy is a tremendous, tremendous warrior. I think the world of this guy as a player. But that’s how this game goes. The next guy gets a turn.”
In this case, the next guy up is Lex Hilliard. The Dolphins drafted him in the sixth round last season.
