For six weeks, Miami Dolphins outside linebacker Matt Roth has been sidelined with a groin injury and illness shrouded in secrecy with various reports that the leg problem was suffered through non-football related activity.
Now, Roth's comeback has incurred another setback.
He has a left ankle injury that's heavily taped up.
So, it appears unlikely that Roth will he returning anytime soon, if ever.
Roth downplayed the injury's severity.
"It's just a little injury and now I have to take care of it," Roth said. "This is just a little bump in the road. I've gone through two months of this [with the groin]. This is not that serious.
He declined to offer any details lest he run afoul of coach Tony Sparano.
"Two things around here you can't talk about: injuries and shoes," he said. "Like 'Fight Club.' Can't talk about Fight Club."
