Miami Dolphins nose guard Paul Soliai will play this week with a heavy heart.

The earthquake that struck his native Samoa has claimed the lives of at least two relatives, according to the Palm Beach Post.

With Soliai's aunt and uncle among the dead, his wife's family is missing 10 family members.

"It's a pretty tough time," Soliai said. "I've been talking to some of my family members. They say there's too much damage. They're still finding more bodies."

Soliai is preparing for Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills while checking on the welfare of his family.

"This is going to motivate me," Soliai said. "I'm going to play for my people back home and my family. It's going to be a special week for me."
