Apparently, the Miami Dolphins have changed their mind about safety Gibril Wilson.
Either that, or general manager Jeff Ireland's defense of Wilson wasn't genuine last week at the NFL scouting combine.
"The Dolphins will be releasing safety Gibril Wilson 2day which will make him free to sign with any other team," Wilson's agent, Alvin Keels, wrote on his Twitter account today.
Here's what Ireland said about Wilson at the NFL scouting combine: "We have our evaluation of Gibril Wilson," Ireland said. "We know what kind of player he's capable of being. I think he's going to be a very good player for the future."
In other words, he was a goner from the word go.
