Before receiver wound up with NYJ, Miami checked into potential deal Aaron Wilson
The Miami Dolphins explored a potential trade for wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins looked into a possible deal for Edwards, who was ultimately traded from the Cleveland Browns to the New York Jets. And the Dolphins play the Jets tonight.
"We do our due diligence on all the things that might be, could be, should be," Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said. "No question about that. I think everybody needs to understand we did that. But from our end, we are quite content with the people we have right now. We have a good group of people. This is the right 53 people."
Per the report, Edwards' combustible personality may have caused the Dolphins to back off.
Time will tell whether they made the right choice, or if the Jets are going to flourish because of their acquisition of the Browns' baggage.
