The Miami Dolphins have promoted linebacker J.D. Folsom from the practice squad to the active roster.
They cut linebacker William Kershaw today to create a roster for Folsom.
Folsom was originally a seventh round draft choice of the Dolphins in the draft this spring and was released prior to the start of the regular season on Sept. 5 and was signed to the practice squad two days later.
Folsom played collegiately at Weber State.
