The Miami Dolphins signed offensive tackle Lydon Murtha from the Detroit Lions' practice squad today, the team announced.
To make room on the roster for Murtha, the Dolphins cut offensive guard Shawn Murphy.
The 6-7, 315-pound Murtha was a seventh-round draft choice of the Lions this year out of Nebraska. He was signed to the Lions' practice squad on Sept. 7 after being released by Detroit on Sept. 5.
Murphy was originally a fourth-round draft choice by Miami in the 2008 NFL draft. He was inactive for the first five games in 2009 and for all 16 games in 2008.

Uh, the article is very clearly states that the Dolphins signed Murtha, and then released Shawn Murphy. It is giving information about Murphy. It isn't in any sense hard to understand.

This story doesn't make any sense at all. In the 3rd paragraph you state that he was drafted in the 7th round by the Lions. In the 4th paragraph you state that "Murphy" (not even his name) was a 4th round draft choice by Miami in the 2008 draft which clearly isn't possible since he is currently a rookie? Seriously, who is writing these rediculous collumns? This is such a reacurring theme on this website. Thats why profootballtalk.com blows this site out of the water. Get a clue Aaron Wilson.
