Running back has been dealing with a foot injury Aaron Wilson
The Miami Dolphins made it official, placing running back Ronnie Brown on injured reserve with a foot injury.
To replace Brown on the active roster, the Dolphins promoted safety Nate Ness from the practice squad.
Brown leads the Dolphins in rushing with 147 carries for 648 yards and eight touchdowns.
He added 14 receptions for 98 yards and is 2-for-6 passing for 22 yards and one touchdown. Brown got hurt during Miami’s 25-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers earlier this month
A former undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Arizona, Ness spent time this season with the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks.
