In need of a running back after Patrick Cobbs' season-ending torn anterior cruciate ligament, the Miami Dolphins signed former Purdue running back Kory Sheets off the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad.
"I like it here," Sheets told the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat. "The players were cool, the coaches were cool and I put in the work here but unfortunately it's one of those things. It's how the business goes."
Sheets rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns during the preseason after being signed as an undrafted free agent.
