Now that veteran running back Justin Fargas has been cut from the Oakland Raiders, he's looking for a new job.

He'll meet first with the Kansas City Chiefs.

And Fargas, who failed his physical, perhaps not coincidentally before a $1.7 million roster bonus was due, won't be coming back to Oakland.

"I don't see that happening, no," Fargas told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I was told by the coach that they were moving in a different direction. They said it was strictly about money. I know some things were put out there, I guess they said I didn't pass a physical. I'm a little disappointed by the way it happened but I understand it's a business.

Another team his agent has been in contact with is ... the 49ers across the bay, where his ex-runnings back coach Tom Rathman is an assistant in need of a back to complement Frank Gore.

"That could be something," Fargas said. "We'll see. Obviously there's going to be a time of transition for me. I just appreciate the city of Oakland and the fans for making this a home for me and their support."

Fargas' agent has also been talking with the San Francisco 49ers.
