One day after participating fully, Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jared Gaither was downgraded on the injury report and didn't practice today.

Gaither has missed the past two games with a neck injury where he was carted off the field Oct. 4 against the New England Patriots.

Gaither wore a red jersey during the part of practice that's open to reporters, signifying that he remains off-limits to contact.

Although Gaither has said he's 100 percent certain he'll return Sunday against the undefeated Denver Broncos, the Ravens have a contingency plan in case he can't go.

Rookie first-round pick Michael Oher would start at left tackle in Gaither's place and Marshal Yanda would step in for Oher at right tackle.

Free safety Ed Reed (illness) returned to practice.

Linebacker Tavares Gooden (concussion) was limited.

Quarterback Joe Flacco (sprained right ankle), linebacker Jarret Johnson (left shoulder), kicker Steve Hauschka (right ankle) and wide receiver David Tyree (hamstring) took part in practice on a full-time basis.

Meanwhile, Broncos safety Brian Dawkins (hamstring) and nose guard Ronald Fields (hamstring) were limited.
