Former Raiders, Steelers running back to visit St. Louis today Aaron Wilson
Veteran running back Gary Russell has been cut by the Oakland Raiders and is scheduled to visit the St. Louis Rams later today, according to his agent.
Russell's agent, Andy Simms, said that the former Pittsburgh Steelers runner will meet with Rams team officials in St. Louis.
Russell, who doubles as a kickoff returner, has rushed for 98 career yards and three touchdowns.
He scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl on a one-yard run.
Russell, who went undrafted out of the University of Minnesota, was cut by the Steelers in April. He was briefly with the Cincinnati Bengals before being released and then signed by the Raiders.
Now, he's in job-hunting mode again.
