Quarterback expected to compete with JaMarcus Russell Aaron Wilson
The Oakland Raiders are expected to use a second-round tender to retain restricted free agent quarterback Bruce Gradkowski, who's a strong candidate to start next season.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Gradkowski's agent got a head's up at the NFL scouting combine that Gradkowski would be given that tender level.
It makes sense, given Gradkowski's performance last season. And it only costs $1.759 million.
Gradkowski is slated to compete with former top overall pick JaMarcus Russell, who has been a disappointment.
Raiders coach Tom Cable has said he thinks a quarterback competition is what the team needs.
