INDIANAPOLIS -- Arkansas offensive lineman Mitch Petrus tied an NFL scouting combine record that had stood for a decade.

He bench pressed 225 pounds 45 times.

That's the most ever for an offensive lineman, according to NFL.com. And it ties the records established by Ohio State defensive end Mike Kudla in 2006 and Texas-El Paso defensive tackle Leif Larsen.

Meanwhile, Russell Okung (Oklahoma State) put up 38 reps while Eric Olsen (Notre Dame) and Joe Hawley (UNLV) did 35 reps apiece followed by Bruce Campbell (Maryland) put up 34 to round out the top five.

Per the report, Alabama offensive guard Mike Johnson, Florida's Maurkice Pouncy and Mississippi offensive lineman John Jerry didn't take part in the bench press due to injuries.

Bruce Campbell got 34 reps? He has 36 inch plus arms. One of the longest tackles is also one of the strongest? That is usually a challenge for those dimensions to hit numbers like that. He's right there with Davis and Okung in value terms.

There are also reports Okung has 36 inch arms. He and Campbell seem like beasts...but, as they saying goes, back to the tape to see if they can play NFL-caliber football...
