Cowher doesn't want to interview for coaching jobs until after the season Aaron Wilson
The Buffalo Bills plan to meet with former Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan this week.
According to NFL.com, the Bills are willing to pay more than the $7 million annual figure owed him through his guaranteed contract with the Broncos through the next two years.
Per the report, Bills owner Ralph Wilson isn't scared off by the high price of doing business as he seeks a replacement for fired Dick Jauron.
"You're probably talking about $50 million over five years and maybe even a piece of the team," a source close to Shanahan told NFL.com. "And by all indications, Wilson is ready to have that conversation."
While former Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren has rejected an inquiry from the Bills while he mulls other options and former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher has informed the AFC East franchise that he's not interested in interviewing for any job until after the season, Shanahan is reportedly a strong possibility.
According to the Associated Press, Shanahan is a "legitimate candidate."
