Despite facing accusations that he allegedly raped a woman three years ago with a civil lawsuit filed against him Thursday, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin will remain in his role as an NFL Network analyst for the Supr Bowl.

The network made the announcement tonight.

Fran Charles acknowledged that the network, which is owned by the league, is looking into the allegations. However, his status with the network won't change at this time.

Earlier today, Irvin was fired from his ESPN radio affiliate job.

Irvin hasn't been charged with a crime. His lawyer has denied the allegations and compared the woman's attempts to settle the case financially to extortion.

Read "Boys Will Be Boys" by Jeff Pearlman from 2008 about the Super Bowl 90's Cowboys- Irvin was the King Kink Freak- strippers, hookers, coke, orgies. There will be a settlement for sure as he'll get killed in a deposition and trial.

ESPN already canned him off t.v. Can't believe he got a radio gig. He's not that good.

the fact that you can hardly understand a word irvin speaks was (should be) reason enough to get him canned from his radio gig. shannon sharpe, you're on deck...
