Wilson: Jaguars' Nelson fined $7,500

Jacksonville Jaguars safety Reggie Nelson is paying for hitting New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez in the helmet.

Nelson was fined $7,500 by the league office for the hit from last Sunday, according to the Florida Times-Union.

Sanchez downplayed the hit when talking with Jets reporters this week

"I felt OK," Sanchez said. "He made a big-time hit. I got off-balance when I was trying to throw and it looked bad, but no, the hit didn't affect my play I don't think."
