Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker and defensive end Quentin Groves both have apologized for their behavior over the weekend.

Sims-Walker was deactivated for the Jaguars' 41-0 loss to the Seattle Seahawks after a violation of the team itinerary.

And Groves got in a three-car accident on his way to the airport and had to catch a commercial flight after missing the team plane, hospitalizing the other drivers.

"I made a mistake in judgment," Sims-Walker told the Florida Times-Union. "I apologize to everybody for the team, the owners, Jack [Del Rio], Gene [Smith], the fans. I'm sorry. It'll never happen again. It was a bad mistake on my part."

"They felt my pain. They saw before the game how sick I was. I couldn't look anybody in the eyes. I knew it was my fault. I put them in a bad situation. I've never been a character-issue guy or been in the media for the wrong reasons."

Sims-Walker wouldn't reveal what he did to be benched.

Since there weren't any team meetings on Friday night when the violation of rules happened, it's been speculated that he missed curfew. The Jaguars refuse to say what happened, though.

"It's nobody's business but ours," Sims-Walker said. "We all know what happened. All that matters is that we're done with it. We're moving on."

As for Groves, he was also accused of trying to leave the scene of the accident and geting special treatment by police.

"I personally want to say I'm sorry to the Jacksonville community, especially Jaguar fans, coach Del Rio, Mr. Weaver, our whole family up here in the organization," Groves said.

"I especially want to extend my condolences to the family that was involved in the accident. I'm sorry about what happened and it won't happen again."

Jaguars coach Jack Del RIo allowed Groves to play in the game, though. He's going to be fined, according to Del Rio.

"I think you're talking about a traffic citation and a guy that used poor judgment," Del Rio said. "To have to be lumped in with past dealings would be unfair and inaccurate."

I think that when a player hits intentionally, like the hit on a bengals player(it knocked his helmet off),they should sit out on the next game..Barb-Wire
