Wilson: Jaguars expected to start Russell Allen with Durant ailing

With Justin Durant ailing because of the effects of a concussion, the Jacksonville Jaguars are planning to start undrafted rookie linebacker Russell Allen on Sunday.

Allen has registered 17 tackles this season and has impressed with his mobility and tackling ability.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder from San Diego State never missed a game in four seasons in college.

He recorded 375 career tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 3 1/2 sacks, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries, ranking second in school history in career tackles,

He led the team with 107 tackles and ranked second with 9 1/2 tackles for loss as a senior.
