University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow is one of Jacksonville's favorite sons.

He grew up in nearby Ponte Vedra Beach, starring at Nease High School before winning national championships and a Heisman Trophy with the Gators.

And owner Wayne Weaver hasn't made it a secret that he's interested in Tebow potentially joining the team. Undoubtedly, he would help boost the team's woeful ticket sales.

So, what do Jaguars players think about Tebow.

Well, offensive lineman Uche Nwaneri isn't a Tebow fan.

Posting on the Jaguars' official message board, Nwaneri wrote the following scouting report on Tebow, who struggled during the Senior Bowl.

Here's what he had to say:

"So im at a bank trying to cash a check, and the bank teller starts up some convo about how Tebow will save the jaguars. And the hole time, when i asked him what does tebow bring to the game that the jaguars dont already have. yes i can understand the intangibles such as leadership etc. but as a football player, what does he bring that will take the jags to the next level??? he couldnt tell me. so let me drop a quick top 5 for all u fans. this is my top 5 things you should know before you assume Tim Tebow will the tebow jesus in teal town.

5. He cant throw. PERIOD.

4. He cant read any coverage other than probably cover 2 or man cov. PERIOD (the only cov. in college lol)

3. the QB wildcat WILL NOT WORK IN THIS LEAGUE. PERIOD

2. He doesnt know how to take a snap from center, nor is he even comfortable enough to.

1. HE CANT THROW. and thats really something you either have or not, never seen a qb who couldnt ever throw, just all of a sudden beable to throw just because hes now in the NFL.

now if u want to say, tebow will save the Jags TICKET sales... sure, he may beable to help them alot, until people realize this aint gator country no more lol. by the way.... GO BUY SEASON TICKETS!!!!!!!!! Ill be Damned if i have to come out for pregame warmups to a COMPLETELY EMPTY STADIUM ANYMORE!!!!!!!"

Is this assessment overly harsh or just the brutal truth? Let's hear what you guys think.

Well, as much as I love tebow, its probably true. Here's the thing though - this guy knows Tebow might be playing with him next year, and he knows he's a player the Jags fan base would be excited about, and he completely trashes him in a place Tebow AND the public can see. Not the smartest move.

It really all comes down to his arm.

No matter how many "other things" he has, no matter how good a teammate and leader and worker he is, you can't teach someone how to throw and NFL caliber pass. It that was possible, thousands of us would be quarterback prospects.

He's 100% right on all his points. #2 and #4 can be taught and Tebow will get better at those. But he will never have an NFL arm. Not even close.

Chad Pennington can't throw either but he's been a pretty good QB.

Tebow is worth taking a flier on in the 4th round.

Tebow will be drafted but he should also be talking to NFL draft scouts to figure out exactly where. His agent should be talking to CFL teams as well. He can probably do reasonably well there contract wise. Get with a passing guru and learn to play the position

You are going to listen to a guy who spells whole "hole?" the WHOLE time not hole time. Seems like the bank teller might know a little more than he thinks.

Tebow cant throw? He played in the SEC, the best defensive conference in college football! He has tallied up unprecedented stats in college, and yes i understand its college, but you mean to tell me he cant play football in the NFL at QB? You are retarded if you think that. He is the best football player to ever play college football. if you wouldn't want him leading your team, then gth out of "Teal Town". BTW, you will realize that "Teal Town" is in fact in Gator Country once the season ticket sales increase and you can do your little warm up in front of thousands of number fifteen jerseys.

Tebow doesn't have a great arm, it's not really a debatable point. I can see Tebow succeeding in the NFL if only because of his work ethic and determination. The kid works hard and there are a lot of players out there that don't. Even if he's not a NFL QB I think he can still find a place in this league. As someone else said, 2 and 4 can be taught. And he did run a fair amount of play from under center in high school.

Number 3 I'm dubious on, the wildcat clearly does work, who knows if it's here to stay or not. Defenses will catch on (and already have). I think it may be harder to defend if you have someone like Tebow running it.

Regardless of all of this, the jags may still NEED to draft Tebow if only to keep them from picking up and going to LA in a few years. The arrival of Tebow is about the only thing that will increase ticket sales for next year because the way the jags ended the season certainly won't help.
