It's too bad that the Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Ravens don't play each other every year because it would surely be entertaining to watch Vikings defensive end Jared Allen and Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher trade barbs and shoves on an annual basis.

Jared AllenAPJared Allen called Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher an idiot, adding that he beat the rookie like a red-headed stepchild.

During his FOXSports.com radio spot today, Allen responded to Oher's critical comments with some verbal blasts of his own.

"Well, that's just some idiot trying to talk himself up," Allen said. "I beat that dude like a red-headed step child. Let's be honest. If he was so good why did they have to chip me all day? Ask him that. That's just a rookie trying to build his self confidence up.

"Besides, you lost and your quarterback spent his whole day on the back of his head until the fourth quarter. That guy will watch film today and realize. Everybody else in the world saw me abuse him."

Allen finished with seven tackles for losses, one sack and two quarterback hurries.

Oher was flagged twice for false starts, but said he felt like he "shut him out" in the second half.

It was Oher's second career start at left offensive tackle.

"There is nothing really special about him," Oher said.  "I think if we played them at home it would make a big difference. The false starts were just mistiming the snap.

"I think he found out I'm an OK player. Guy makes like $100 million. I think I did all right."

And Allen would beg to differ.

Actually, everyone else in the world saw their kicker miss a joke field goal, in a dome, after completely dominating your defense in the 4th quarter.

Great player, I will admit, but shut your trap once in awhile, please.

The leagues most obvious case of why they should test for HGH.

Why is Oher bragging? Besides all the tackles of running backs for loss, he let his QB get sacked. in each of his two starts he's allowed a sack. that's not very good. you want to see the standard for greatness as a rookie offensive left tackle? Try Ryan Clady of the Broncos. But until you get there, go back to the film room and learn how to play the position right, meat.

Darn I wish the Broncos were playing the Vikes this year. Somebody needs to bring Jared back to earth, and Ryan Clady would do it in short order.

No doubt, Allen is great player. But his mouth and on-field showmanship makes even Jay Cutler, by comparison, look like a grown up.

1st half J Allan Dominated.

2nd half the Vikings D was torched including Allan..Hey Allan your D gave up 385 yds and 2 touchdowns...your offense won the game not your D.

Way to take the high road, Jaroid Allen.

Oher probably didn't think much of you because you only played 3 quarters and spent most of the time trying to accidentally step on Flacco's foot.

Jaroid is a jacktard.

Are you people for real? Allen has been a force all year long and ever since we signed him. It's the pas rush we need and have been looking for. As far as your rookie end, he may want to keep his mouth shut cause not D linesmen are going to be keying in on him all year long. Flaco should be slapping him and telling him to keep his mouth shut.
