In a move anticipated for weeks, the New York Jets have reportedly released cornerback Lito Sheppard.
Sheppard didn't fit in with the Jets' aggressive, physical style.
Plus, he was due a $10 million roster bonus after the free agent signing period begins early tomorrow morning.
The former Philadelphia Eagles starter does have coverage skills and could find a market for himself depending on his asking price.
Sheppard is now an unrestricted free agent.
