The New York Jets signed veteran tight end Ben Hartsock today to a one-year, $1.275 million contract.
Hartsock has previous stints with the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Falcons and the Indianapolis Colts.
Drafted in the third round of the 2004 NFL draft by the Colts, Hartsock played collegiately at Ohio State
With the Colts, he played a reserve role behind Marcus Pollard and Dallas Clark.
Hartsock was cut last September by the Falcons.

I will NEVER forget the crackback BOOM-SHACKA-LACKA hit that Ben Hartsock put on Shawn Merriman when the Charges came to Nashville in 2007. Slamma Jamma! Then Merriman cried about it in the after-game press conference. I bet HE never forgets that hit either. NICE JOB, HARTSOCK! I wish you well.
