The New York Jets intend to retain wide receiver Braylon Edwards with the high tender of a first-round pick and a third-round pick, coach Rex Ryan said.

According to the New York Daily News, the Jets are expected to listen to trade offers for Edwards.

They seem inclined to keep him at this point.

Edwards, who bashed offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer's game plan following the team's AFC title game loss to the Indianapolis Colts, might have some fences to mend in the locker room.

An unnamed player told the Daily News: "Nobody said anything when he dropped passes. For him to throw Schotty under the bus is B.S."

Meanwhile, Ryan didn't have much to say about safety Kerry Rhodes' status.

Rhodes acknowledged having a private meeting with Ryan. Neither party was willing to commit to his return and trade discussions are expected.
