Miami Dolphins outside linebacker Joey Porter has never been one to mince words.

And he didn't hold back when asked about the New England Patriots and whether quarterback Tom Brady receives special treatment by officials.

"No question," Porter said today during an NFL Network interview. "When a guy can tell a ref when to throw a flag, and he gets it, he's got his own rules. They made the rule that you don't go at the legs for Tom, so when he feels that someone is going at his legs, he just points to the ref and he gets a flag. So I can honestly say that he gets his own rules."

The Baltimore Ravens made similar accusations after a loss to New England.

"I still don't care for New England," Porter said. "The hate's been there for a while, especially after all the cheating they did back in the day.

"They can sweep it under the rug if they want to, but just like anybody else that's cheating that gets caught, you put an asterisk by it. But nobody puts an asterisk by those championships they won."

Plus, Porter said that the Patriots' players and coaches violated league rules last season by being disruptive during the Dolphins' warmup drills.

"Kicking balls while we're stretching, over our heads, out of the end zone that we're stretching in, certain stuff they did that you can't do, but they did it when we were in New England and somehow they got away with it," Porter said.

Porter, though, is hardly an angel.

He was voted by his peers as one of the NFL's dirtiest players in a Sports Illustrated poll.

"That's just the nature of people not liking me," Porter said. "I would hate me too if I was on the other side."

It's safe to say that Porter is extremely unpopular in several NFL cities, not that he cares.

Looks like Joey the Mouth is still bitter about gettin' his butt whipped when he was a Steeler.
Funny how the Steelers couldnt get past the Pats when Porter was in Pittsburgh ~
but had no trouble getting a W vs Pats AND winning the SB last year w/o his CRYBABY ACT onboard .

Joey Porter still hasn't gotten over the playoff loses to the Patriots. This is just fodder for the Pats on Sunday, not that anyone really care what Joey Porter has to say.

Seems to me they went 19-1 AFTER they were notifed that the taping practices were not legal, and stopped doing that.

Blah, blah, blah. Nothing but but noise. Porter needs to remove the sand from his Va-j.

Didn't Joey Porter say worse things about New York last week?

Pats added Wes Welker and Randy Moss for the 2007 season. That's why they almost had a perfect season. If they hadn't been caught cheating, I don't think they would ever have lost again. Wes plus Randy plus cheating = unstoppable!
